This kymograph is designed for recording mechanical activities of animal tissues in the physiological, pharmacological and biological experiments conducted by medical and pharmaceutical colleges or research institutes. It is with those characterictics: Portable, solid, durable, runs noiselessly, steadily, reliably and reassuring. It can also shift rotational speed in a large range. The instument is simply assembled and convenient to servicing. It can be assembled with a passive drum for being used as a two drum kymograph.
1. Drum
The drum is manufactures with aluminum alloy. Its outside diameter is 170 mm and its height is 200mm. Therecord paper with a dimension of 534× 200mm2 can be fixed at any height of the vertical shaft, which is 433 mm long and can be reeled off the worm wheel. The vertical shaft is connected with the worm wheel by taper joint, keeping the drum rotating smoothly and reliably. The radial saltation movement of drum is not beyond 0.5 mm.
2. Driving device
The driving device consists of a synchronous low speed motor, a speed gear train and a gear worm cluster. The gearshift is combined by racks and gears, which can be manipulated with a control knob for to lbtain different rotational speed at 9 steps. The rotational speed and the chart speed of every step are as follows:

3. Hronograph
The 10-step tunable chronograph is composed of a transistor multi_delay circuit(Fig. 1) supplied with a low-voltage power supply (6V) that can be used for electromagnetic recorder.
